The body has five major detoxification organs and systems; the intestine, liver, lymph, kidney and skin. So what can we do to assist daily detoxification?

Fiber helps the digestive system function properly. Without fiber, the body can not easily remove the waste, so it’s very important to eat a lot of fiber in every meal. Eat more fruits and vegetables, such as green beans, cauliflower, potatoes and apples. Whole grains like oatmeal and wheat bran are also a good source of fiber.

The chlorophyll in the leaves of green plants is great for blood detoxification. Green plants also contain protein, minerals, and a wide variety of vitamins that help keep you healthy. Spinach, broccoli and seaweed are rich in chlorophyll. Kale, turnip greens and swiss chard are rich sources of vitamin K, A and C.

3. Let the body perspire.

Aerobic exercise

Perspiration allows the body to naturally remove toxins. A natural way of increasing your perspiration rate is to do some form of aerobic exercise such as cycling, running, walking and swimming. Do aerobic exercises for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week.

Sleep

Stress can cause damage to the body. Stress triggers blood pressure and produces hormones that may lead to obesity. You can remove unnecessary activities to reduce the stress of life. Sleep helps relieve stress. Make sure you have at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night. If you feel unable to handle your stress, a therapist may be required to teach effective stress management skills.
