Spooky2 Software 20230831 Released 8

Share this:

Spooky2 is being continually refined for the betterment of mankind.

Highlights of changes since the last formal release:

Improved: Maximum frequency wobble steps increased from 50 to 100. This doubles the permissible resolution of frequency wobbles.

Improved: Prevent BFB duplicate values option moved from System to Control tab. This allows the setting of duplicates to be different for differing generators. The option can be set in presets.

Improved: Increased maximum duplicate re-reads from 6 to 10. When very small deviations are being measured, duplicate data values are inevitable. This option strives to prevent this. If data values are being repeated, Spooky will re-measure the value again until a different value is recorded.

This is not GUI related. Users will not find it in the interface.

Improved: Handling of blacklist frequencies. Blacklist frequencies are frequencies which are to be avoided. When Spooky was in dual-output mode, this option did not function correctly. This has been remedied.

Improved: BFB presets (made default read delay 0.07 seconds and prevent data duplicates option selected). This is turned on by default to improve BFB data quality for GX Pros with old versions of expansion PCBs. A new version of this PCB is available for purchase.

If I download this new version, how can I retain the programs that I have saved in the older version?
    Thank you

  3. This reads as if to software developers. If it is to make sense to the overwhelming majority of users, it needs a different way to interface with them. The why’s, the examples.

  4. Can you explain what blacklist frequencies are? 🙏

    1. Dear Joseph, the blacklist is a list of frequencies that you instruct Spooky2 to avoid running for any reason. If you don’t want to run some frequencies then you can enter them here and the Spooky2 software will avoid them for you. Hope it helps.
