Spooky2 Sleep Shades Q&As 5

For thousands of years in human history, the sun was the only source of blue light – one of the colors in the visible light spectrum. The natural blue light makes the sky appear blue as the blue wavelengths hit the air molecules.

Also, for humans, a moderate amount of exposure to natural blue light has been medically proven to support the body’s natural sleep and wake cycle (circadian rhythm), promote alertness and boost memory and cognitive function.

However, artificial light sources such as cell phones, LED lamps, TVs, and fluorescent lamps produce excessive blue light during the evening. This blue light interferes with our body’s hormone production, in particular melatonin, the sleep hormone. If we are exposed to blue light during the evening after the sun has set, our natural circadian sleep cycle will be disturbed.

During sleep, our body does ‘housework’: clearing out the trash and restoring energy. It is a much-needed reset. If we cannot sleep properly, our immune system becomes suppressed, and chronic health problems can often result.

1. How are Sleep Shades different from other commercial blue light-blocking glasses on the market?

Sleep Shades differ in two ways. The first is the physical structure. Sleep Shades are premium blue light blocking glasses with an emphasis on their build quality. They have been certified to withstand regular abuse without breaking or shattering. Sleep Shades are not budget glasses.

The second difference between Sleep Shades and other blue light blocking glasses is their performance. The blue light suppresses melatonin, with the strongest effect occurring in the light spectrum between 446 and 477 nm. Fortunately, Sleep Shades have been certified to filter over 80% of blue light in this narrow spectrum without affecting other colors. The performance is so good that most people don’t perceive any difference in vision while wearing Sleep Shades. All colors look the same, including blue.

Because colors appear unchanged, Sleep Shades are also safe for driving. Only 3.01% of normal visible light is attenuated, so all colors stay natural when wearing Sleep Shades.

2. What benefits do Sleep Shades bring in addition to blocking blue light?

The problem with all-in-one solutions is that they don’t excel in any particular task. Sleep Shades have one function, and they do it well. The blue light interferes with melatonin production, which is the sleep hormone. And if melatonin is depleted, our sleep quality will be reduced, affecting the immune system, and chronic health conditions may ensue.

3. Do Sleep Shades transmit any healing frequencies?

No.

4. Do I need to wear Sleep Shades every day to see some improvements? If yes, how long should I wear them?

It is best to wear Sleep Shades a couple of hours before sleeping every day.

5. Do Sleep Shades have different sizes, i.e., for different age groups and genders?

Currently, we only have one size available for ordering. Here is the specification for Sleep Shades, which you may use as a reference.

6. Can I provide my prescription to Spooky2 so that I can receive a pair of blue light blocking lenses with the correct strength?

Unfortunately, we do not provide prescription glasses with the 435cut™ blue light blocking technology at the moment.

7. I am already wearing prescription glasses. Can I still wear Sleep Shades at the same time?

Yes, you may wear them together as long as the frames fit comfortably and stay in place during use.

8. Do Sleep Shades have a warranty?

The glasses are impact-resistant within the meaning of 21 CFR 801.410 and have been tested under that section. If the glasses are damaged during shipping, they will be replaced.

  1. These sound just fine, except for us with eyeglasses already. I can only use a pair that clips on my glasses.

  2. All glasses block a significant amount of blue light. Blue blockers from the 80’s block almost 100% too. Why are these better just because they are durable?

    1. Hi, in addition to effective protection from blue lights, Spooky2 Sleep Shades also combine the application of Spooky2 Rife frequencies with its designed 435cutTM blue light blocking technology. Meanwhile, if you have Spooky2 rife machines, turn on your frequency generator, load, and run some healing frequencies, and you will receive the multiplied efficacy:)
